BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. – A 67-year-old man from Parker was killed in an apparent accident involving a circular saw.
Ted Sams was believed to be cutting 2x4’s with the saw when he accidentally cut the femoral artery in his leg and bled to death, according to the Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson.
Sams was working at a residence on Illinois Gulch Road in Breckenridge. His body was found just outside the house on Saturday afternoon.
The saw is being inspected by an electrician and will be sent to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
A toxicology report was also ordered.
