10 - Super Bowl XVII
Game MVP John Riggins had 38 carries for 166 yards as the Redskins beat Miami 27-17. Behind 17-13 with 10:01 left in the fourth quarter at the Miami 43, Riggins literally ran over cornerback Don McNeal on his way to the end zone as the ‘Skins take the lead go on to win.
9 - Super Bowl V
Colts Mike Curtis intercepted Craig Morton’s pass and returned it to the Cowboy 28 with under a minute to play. Rookie kicker Jim O'Brien kicked a 32 yard field goal with :05 seconds left and a 16 – 13 win.
8 - Super Bowl I
Packers tight-end Max McGee’s one handed catch of Bart Starr’s 37 yard pass is the first touchdown ever scored in a Super Bowl. Infamously hung over from the night before, the Packers veteran went into the game when starter Boyd Dowler went down with an injury early in the first quarter. Not expecting to play that day McGee had to borrow a teammate’s helmet as he left his in the locker room. He scored a few plays later and the Packers beat the Chiefs 35 – 10.
7 - Super Bowl XLIII
Down 23 – 20, starting on their own 22-yard line with 2:37 left in the game the Steelers Ben Roethlisberger completes 4 passes to Santonio Holmes for 73 yards capped by an impossible corner of the end zone catch for the score and a 27 – 23 win.
6 - Super Bowl XLII
Trailing the unbeaten Patriots 14 – 10 with 2:42 to play the Giants David Tyree's one-handed, helmet-aided 32 yard catch of a scrambling Eli manning pass on 3rd down late in the 4th quarter keeps the drive alive as the Giants go 83 yards and score with :35 seconds left for a dramatic 17 – 10 victory.
5 - Super Bowl XXXII
On third-and-6 from the Packers 12 and the score tied 17 – 17, a scrambling John Elway runs for a first down to keep the drive alive but not before taking a horrendous hit from safety Leroy Butler and “helicoptering” as he goes airborne. The Broncos score two plays later to take the lead and go on to win their first Super Bowl over the defending champion Packers 31 – 24.
4 - Super Bowl XXXVI
With the score tied at 17-17, 1:30 left in the game and no timeouts, Tom Brady drove the Patriots to the Rams' 30. With :07 seconds remaining Adam Vinatieri kicked a 48-yard field goal and an upset 20 – 17 win over the heavily favored Rams.
3 - Super Bowl XXIII
Trailing the Bengals 16-13 with 3:20 to play in the game and starting from his own 8 yard line, the 49ers Joe Montana throws a 10 yard touchdown to receiver John Taylor with :34 seconds remaining on the clock and the 20 – 16 win.
2 - Super Bowl XXXIV
The Titans scored 16 unanswered points before the Rams scored in the 4th quarter for a 23 -16 lead with 1:54 left. With :06 seconds left in the game, Titans QB Steve McNair completed his 10th pass in a row to Kevin Dyson at the Rams' three but linebacker Mike Jones makes a spectacular tackle bringing Dyson down on the 1 as time expires and the Rams go on to win their first Super Bowl.

Joe Namath had “guaranteed” a Jets' victory over the Colts who were favored by 18 points. He leads the Jets to an improbable 16-7 win and the indelible NFL Films image of “Broadway” Joe with his finger raised in the air as he runs off the field is forever ingrained in the annals of sports history.
